OUR COMMITTEES
A great way to get to know your neighbors
Event PlanningPurpose: This committee plans and implements the activities and events that make life at Frisco Ridge so special. Members determine which events will be held each calendar year and propose a budget to the Board. Once the budget is approved, an event calendar for the year is published and the committee works with the Communications. Committee to promote each event.
Meetings: The committee meets one or two times early in the year to determine the overall plan and event calendar, and then as needed for each major event. Other: Committee members also welcome homeowners who prefer to help out with one event, do decorations, man a grill or help with setup or cleanup. Welcome CommitteePurpose: To help new residents to feel part of the neighborhood, to answer any questions about Frisco Ridge and our HOA and to provide new residents with a welcome packet, which includes a copy of the covenants, an FAQ, information about Yukon and more. in 2020, we began offering a small welcome gift, too.
Meetings: Early in the year, the committee members meet to review the packet and discuss changes/additions and talk about any new ideas. Other meetings are only scheduled if there is a need. Other: To spread the workload, the goal is to have about six members on the committee so that each member is responsible for welcoming families two months a year. With fewer members, they just rotate responsibility. The chair also maintains the HOA email list and sends group emails. Safety & CompliancePurpose: Oversee the the safety of the neighborhood and the enforcement of Frisco Ridge Covenants and amendments to the Covenants. Help the board to determine the best course of action to resolve all covenant compliance issues fairly and consistently and follow up on issues with actions such as notices, warning letters, fines, liens, etc..
The committee also follows up on any safety issues with homeowners and/or Yukon police and shares safety tips as needed. As our neighborhood grows, this group , in conjunction with the Board, will develop proposals, as needed, for new covenants and modifications to existing covenants and propose ways to better enforce our Frisco Ridge covenants for the good of all. Committee: This committee usually meets 5-7x per year, depending on the number of complaints received by homeowners and issues forwarded by the Board. Other: This committee is made of individual homeowners just like you who are following the legal obligations of an HOA to ensure compliance and safety. |
Park, Landscaping & CommonsPurpose: To plan and oversee all actions regarding the maintenance, upkeep, and improvement of community property at Frisco Ridge, including the park, playground, basketball court, soccer fields, pond(s) and the common area behind Branch Line. This group oversees Frisco Ridge landscaping, irrigation, damaged streetlights, common utilities, any future structures, and makes the decisions about yearly lawn care, turf maintenance, tree care, seasonal flower plantings, etc. Each year the committee makes recommendations about future improvements for our neighborhood including landscaping, new equipment, new structures, the future parking lot and more. Members also serve as a resource to homeowners needing advice on plants, shrubs and trees that grow well in Zone 7A.
Meetings: Early in the year, the committee meets to review the state of current amenities and to consider improvements to our neighborhood. Recommendations are made to the board for consideration in the budget. Generally, the committee does not meet more than 2-4 times per year, unless there is a major project.
